Welcome to ObedienceStar.com. Obedience is a fun activity for you and your dog, and this site is a place where I'm collecting everything I know about obedience training. There are many ways to achieve good results, but I only include the things I've tried and am comfortable with using on my dogs. My main goal with this site is to share my knowledge about dog training and obedience in particular. My focus is competitive obedience, but I'm sure those of you who are interested in just teaching your dogs a few tricks will find lots of useful information as well. I'm a profound believer in positive training, and prefere to use clicker training, targeting and shaping. You can read more about clickertraining here.

Here at ObedienceStar.com you will find everything from the basics of puppytraining and fun tricks to competitive obedience at a higher lever. I've also included the rules and regulations of a few countries, as well as FCI's regulations for international obedience competitions. I can't guarantee that these are uptodate, but I do check the official clubs on a regular basis for the latest news. I'm also gathering links to obedience and dog training sites in general, so if you would like me to link to your site, please let me know. I do include personal sites as I really enjoy reading about other peoples everyday experiences with dogs.
